I’m not reinventing social, I’m just going back to page 1. At Marketo, we recently decided to restart our social storytelling and are going back to page 1 of our social storybook—without any jargon. We realize that some people may not know what we mean when we say that Marketo is the “best in class engagement marketing platform”. I myself, am at the age where when I hear the word “engagement”, my mind immediately goes to weddings, not marketing. So here’s how we’re changing that.
Texts From Marketo
Recently, Marketo staff members were filmed sending text messages to their friends and family members, asking: “What do you think Marketo does?” Apparently, our friends have not always been listening when we talk about what we do all day…The responses we got were all over the place! Some were quite humorous (no, Marketo is not a grocery store—though we do have a rather sizeable snack cupboard in the office!…mmm…Snickers…I digress.) So, we compiled our favorite answers to this simple question and created a video for your viewing pleasure! Take a look below. I promise you a good chuckle or two. (By the way, the answer to the question “What does Marketo do?” is, of course, “We make you smile”.)
