[Board Game] Ready, Set, Play: The Game of Lead Nurture

Game of Nurture

Posted: March 20, 2015 | Nurturing

Harken back to the days gathered ’round the table for family game night and then imagine how much more fun it would be to play board games with your marketing team. The Game of Nurture captures the fun, strategic elements of lead nurturing by turning it into a board game. Not only will you discover who on your team is really competitive, you’ll get some practical tips to think about incorporating into your lead nurturing strategy.

While a good marketing automation platform can help you create a successful lead nurturing program, we created The Game of Nurture, as a fun way to experience the variety of ways that you, as a marketer, can nurture buyers toward purchase and advocacy.

Think you’re a pro lead-nurturer? Put your skills to the test! Download the game (a free PDF) and gather a group to get started!

How To Play

As a player in The Game of Nurture, you start with two Nurture Stream pieces that you nurture through various activities—the different spaces on the board represent these activities.

Along the way, as you complete  different activities you pick up leads, in the form of a lead tile, to add to your nurture stream. You have to be careful to avoid the pitfalls of an un-optimized nurture strategy like high unsubscribe rates and dirty data, which can set your nurture stream back. At the end, the player who gets their nurture streams to advocacy, with the most leads, wins!
