This is my favorite week of the year. No, it’s not my birthday and I am not headed out on vacation. It’s the week that the Nation – the Marketo Marketing Nation – comes together in San Francisco to learn, listen, and collaborate together to continue to reshape the very foundation of marketing. Welcome to the 2014 Marketo Marketing Nation Summit. Welcome to Innovation in the Nation.

It never ceases to amaze me: the innovation that takes place in the Nation, and the impact of our technology, empowering marketers to deliver measurable and significant results. It has become common that our customers design outreach and engagement with their audience that results in 2X or 3X improvements in leads, revenue, customer engagement, and customer lifetime value.

But the reality is that we are at the very beginning of this marketing transformation. The challenges of running a marketing department, getting all of the trains lined up correctly, determining what is working and what isn’t worth your time – this is no simple task. Our mission at Marketo is to turn this on its head.

Our time together this week will be invaluable. I can’t wait to discuss the impact innovation has had on a world stage with Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Former US Secretary of State.

I can’t wait to listen to your stories and hear your successes. I can’t wait to show you some of the very cool advances we have made, taking Marketo’s software to the next level.
