Social Media Guru Marcus Nelson Talks Salesforce Social and Employee Advocates

Posted: November 30, 2012 | Social Media Marketing

Marcus Nelson is a social media thought leader and Founder & CEO of Addvocate, a social amplification platform turning employees into inbound marketing and lead generation machines. Before branching off to do his own thing, Marcus was Director of Social Media at Salesforce, and was instrumental in helping them develop their ass-kicking social media strategy.

I was lucky enough to be able to catch up with Marcus at a recent conference and he took the time to answer some very important questions facing marketing professionals on a daily basis. Watch the video to learn:

  • About the early days of social at Salesforce, and how they created  their epic social media command center
  • How to start harnessing the power of employees to become brand advocates on social channels
  • Why content is king, marketing is queen, and your blog is your castle

Check out the video to hear more of Nelson’s wisdom!
